Levels of Care

Flexible Payment/Financial Options
  • Private Pay
  • You can pay for the health care services you receive on a private pay basis as the services are provided. This allows you to choose—and pay for—only the services you desire.

  • Medicare
  • Medicare Part A covers the cost of skilled care in a Skilled Nursing facility for a limited time. The Medicare benefit covers 100% of the cost of skilled care for up to the first 20 days.

If skilled care is still required for 21-100 days (or any portion thereof), there is a daily coinsurance payment. (Medigap Coverage or Long-Term Care insurance may be able to cover this.)

  • Medigap Coverage/Supplemental Insurance Coverage
  • Medigap insurance, which is sold through private insurance companies, helps pay for costs that Medicare doesn’t cover, such as co-pays and deductibles.

  • Long-Term Care Insurance
  • Long-Term Care insurance can help pay for nursing home care. This insurance may also cover the cost of in-home care, adult day care, assisted living and services provided in continuing care communities. The amount of coverage and the eligibility requirements may differ. If your loved one has a policy, read it carefully.

  • Elizabeth and family
  • Having been through years of Assisted Living with my mom, my hope is to convey a sense for the true difference among the care faciliites and the people who staff them. In this sense, Covenant Living at the Holmstad is the standout. You have made some of the most vulnerable people feel important and loved.

  • Alice Besch
  • Covenant Living at the Holmstad provides professional care and friendships for family members in need, activities galore, and more. I'm at peace after visiting my husband, knowing he is in the hands of a caring and loving staff.

  • Marilyn Bostrom
  • It was evident that everyone there cared about my mom. I saw first-hand the spirit that your staff imparts. You can really feel the warmth at this special place. My mother really felt at home there.

I am so grateful for the competent, caring staff at Covenant Living at the Holmstad. They have embraced my mother's long-term care with skill, compassion, and a nurturing spirit. They value partnership with our family and seek our input to best meet her needs. Covenant Living at the Holmstad offers a first-rate health care facility where my mother is known personally. They provide opportunities for her to live her life with dignity and meaning. It warms my heart to hear my mother say, 'This is a wonderful place.'
